السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Let me ask you a question. What is one plus one? The answer is 2. Let us read that again, 1 + 1 = 2. No matter what we do, 1 + 1 will always be 2. We can bang our heads on the wall, and it won’t make a difference. The answer will always be 2. We can sit all day and night trying to think and ponder, but still, the answer will always be 2.

Similarly, everything that happens in our lives is ordained by Allah. Everything happening around us is what Allah has wished. No matter what we do, we can’t change that. We can only choose how we decide to do things. We can do things the hallal way and earn junnat at the same time, but it won’t change what Allah has ordained. Or we can be losers and do things the haraam way, accumulate sins, and still what Allah chooses will happen.

Just as we know 1 + 1 is always 2. Just as we understand and accept this, we should also understand that what Allah has ordained will happen regardless of our actions. The question we need to ask ourselves is, do we want to earn rewards while on the path set out for us, or do we wish to accumulate sins and earn the wrath of Allah?

Furthermore, when doing things in the haraam way, hoping to make a difference, we are putting our imaan in danger. Because when we get good and beneficial results, we will say look it was because we did it in this manner. Our faith will move away from Allah and onto our haraam efforts. To such extents, we will justify the sins by saying there is a benefit to it. People are benefitting because Allah had willed it, not because of anything we did. Even if we do nothing, what Allah has willed will happen.

So what do you wish to do? Earn junnah in the process of living our lives or make our way to Hell?
Regardless of what we choose to do, that what Allah has wished will happen.
